Music Festivals

Participation:

Participation in the following festivals is open to students of Bluebonnet MTA Members, and Non-Bluebonnet MTA Members in the Williamson and surrounding counties.

Enrollment Fees:

Students of Bluebonnet MTA Teachers:                  $20.00 per festival

Students of Non-Bluebonnet MTA Teachers:         $25.00 per festival

2017-2018 Fall Festival

"Master Composers - Baroque plus Choice"

Eligibility :  Students grades K - 12 and adult students
Student must play a piece by a Baroque master composer.
The second piece may be any piece of student's choice.

Pieces by master composers must be original versions.
Computer printouts of pieces are allowed. Printouts must be accompanied by Release. Click Here for a copy of the Release.
No photocopies are permitted.
Two pieces are required. Pieces must be memorized.
Musicianship is required.

Audition Times: Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm - confirmed

The Festival will be held at Steinway Piano Gallery

Hymn Festival

Chair - Martha Vallee

Entrants must play or sing 2 hymns., 2 hymn arrangements or one of each. Music must be religious in nature. Arrangements are allowed. Musicianship is not required. The music does not have to be memorized.

Audition Times: Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm - confirmed. The Festival will be held at Steinway Piano Gallery

2017-2018 Spring Festival

"Master Composers Festival - Romantic plus Choice". This festival will be open to the public.

Eligibility :  Students grades K - 12 and adult students Saturday April 14, 2018

One Romantic piece and one piece of student's choice will be required.
Musicianship is required.
